This is just one of those series I love to live in, and not just because of the incredible world building and magic. I love it here because the characters embrace their darkness. It’s not about overcoming the dark parts of ourselves, but rather seeing the sun through the clouds and finding joy in family, the ones we’re born into and the ones we find.

TLDR: I thought I'd preordered this. I had not. So I read it in a day once I snatched it up.
