I remembered this one way less than the first one, but it was still enjoyable! Tbh I wasn't super sucked in or anything for most of it, but by the end I was. I still plan to finish rereading the series but idk how much of a priority it will be.
Graphic: Kidnapping and Violence
Moderate: Abandonment, Injury/Injury detail, Torture, Child abuse, and Ableism
Minor: Death and Gun violence

I liked this reread a little more than the first book in the series, mostly because it started delving deeper into the main characters' personalities and friendships. Also some interesting middle-grade philosophy on whether people are fundamentally wicked or redeemable. But the speed was still really fast and I'm not forgiving this series for buying into such an obvious ableist trope with the "reveal" of Mr. Curtain actually being an ambulatory wheelchair user .
Moderate: Ableism, Chronic illness, Kidnapping, Vomit, and Confinement
