Mejor, definitivamente, mucho mejor.

Quick Review...for when I don't have a lot to say...

I find myself liking Gwen more and more with each book in this series. I think she's getting stronger as we go. I didn't really like her much in the first book, but she's definitely growing on me.

Daphne started out this series as one of my least favorite characters. I thought she was the stereotypical mean girl, but I was wrong about her. She's turned into a very good friend - loyal and smart. I really like her. I also really like Carson, her band-geek boyfriend. He's very lovable.

The plot thickens as well. Now, everyone thinks Gwen is behind the events of Dark Frost, the previous installment. I'm really enjoying where we're headed. I have some ideas about what could happen and I'll be interested to see if I'm right. The action was just right in this book. It kept me hooked and wanting more. Yay for that!

I'm looking forward to Midnight Frost, which comes out later this year. Stay tuned for my thoughts on that.

Crimson Frost gets 3.5 Eiffel Towers.

HOLY SHIT! THIS BOOK WAS FANTASTIC! I don't even know what to say. Just read it!

By far my favorite.. I really hate Vivian and my heart broke for Logan!! I cannot believe I have to wait until August!

The book makes me angry, and considering I am so in love with this series, it's almost like a knife in the heart. I don't understand why her teachers don't fight back for her more. Why they can't take that stand and say they believe her and will be by her side no matter what.
Anyone in their right mind would see the records of Vivian being gone from school and know that she is evil and is plotting things against good. But the government is blinded, much like other governments.
Meeting Logan's parents is nerve racking for anyone not just Gwen. I probably would've been throwing up all morning. The whole experience with them should have been different and even the ending with evil making it's way into the open.
The ending of this one is crazy and makes you really want to go back through and reread to see if you can get hints as to it leaning this way! Someone is very heartbroken and so am I. The other is heartbroken and has run away! Typical outcome but spectacular!

I love books that have Gods, especially Greek Gods, in modern times. I really love the world that Jennifer Estep created and the people in it.

This book was so good and I couldn't stop reading and I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. It was great to see Logan's dad and to get a glimpse into Logan's life. The book started out great and the ending was fantastic and it made you want to go and pick up the next book to find out what happens next.

I would recommend this series to anybody.

I really enjoyed this book, although it felt a bit slower than the other books. Gwen being put on trial made everything extremely exciting and it was especially frustrating with all of the people from the Protectorate and the Academy being so cruel to her. It really shows the corruption that can happen in any place if people have the money or power to make things happen their way.

Linus annoyed me so much throughout this book, I really just wanted to punch him in the face at times. It was doubly worse because he was Logan's father.

This might have just been because I read so many books in my life already, but it felt quite obvious to me that Agrora was the one who was the Reaper in the Protectorate. Something just felt so off about her, especially because she was the only one being nice to Gwen. Never trust anyone who's too nice in books, haha.

The ending absolutely broke my heart. Gwen using her powers on Logan, having him stab her to death and using her love for him to break the spell he was under. It was majorly cliche but I loved it (maybe even more because it was cliche!)

Either way, I'm really excited to see what's next, especially for Gwen and Logan. Also, what really made me smile was knowing that Alexei was going to stay with Gwen. Also, am I the only one who's really glad that he's gay? I don't think I could handle any kind of love-triangle anytime soon.

After the third book I wanted to take a break from this series, but I just couldn't get into anything else. I was too wrapped up in the Mythos Academy world. I returned to read Crimson Frost and I'm glad I did. This is by far the best installment yet. I shouldn't even be surprised by that, every book has gotten a little bit better than the last. The series didn't start out as strong as it should have. The first books read like they were written for 12-13 year-olds even though the students were 16-21 and participating in older activities. The plot twists weren't even twists just because they were so darn predictable. And you know how authors will refresh your memory with each book, going over the important things you might have forgotten, jogging your memories so you don't have to go back and just reread all the previous books? Well Estep does this multiple times in each book including the first one, in detail. I don't need to hear about Carson being a Celt and playing in a band, explained in a full paragraph like three times in one book. It's not even that important. Seriously.
In this installment, these things were really toned down, and thank goodness for that.
More characters are introduced, and Gwen has to do more sleuthing, as well as fighting(it was actually kind of nice seeing Gwen fighting alongside someone other than her usual circle of friends). We also have to wait even longer to see Logan and Gwen together, which just keeps as hooked. :D The plot wasn't predictable but did take Gwen longer to figure out than it should have considering we have the same information she does but it takes her an extra chapter to draw the lines.
This book definitely kept me on the edge of my seat, and even drew some tears from my eyes. Although I have complaints about the series, I also have praises that are just harder to vocalize. But I can tell you that I enjoyed Crimson Frost and look forward to reading the next books in the series.

Netgalley read.

I have fallen in love with this series and the characters. Estep always keeps me enthralled with her storyline.

This book is probably my favorite in the series. I'm pretty sure I said that with Dark Frost, but I mean it this time! ;) The loyalty Gwen's friends show her is awesome. Even though she's accused of setting Loki free, her friends never leave her side. The rest of the students at Mythos behave awful towards Gwen. It kind of reminded me of the villagers storming Frankenstein's castle to kill the Creature. It saddened me that so many people believed what they were told without questioning the accusations. These folks should be ashamed of themselves.

The story pretty much follows Gwen doing the best she can to clear her name while staying out of trouble. (Easier said than done.) Of course, the Reapers want her out of the way, and have plans of their own. These plans have been set in motion for many years, and the person(s) behind it will shock you!

I loved the characters even more this go-around. Gwen is so strong and determined. I completely admire her. She also takes the reins and does what she can to save herself in these impossible situations, instead of relying on others. Logan is incredibly sweet. You begin to see just how deep his feelings are for his "Gypsy Girl." he also begins to face some of the issues he has with this dad, Linus. Now, let's move on to Linus. I wanted to smack the mess out of him many times. He's arrogant and condescending. He thinks he's always right, and doesn't take being wrong well.

You will need tissues, just sayin'. I think this books plays a key part in the events that are coming.
