I'm on book 4 and although I still struggle with the repetition (yup, four books in and the style hasn't changed) I have to admit at this point I'm pretty hooked on the story. Like it is getting reasonably gritty. I NEED to know what happens to these people. Where is Logan? What is Loki and his cronies up to after their failed mission? Will Gwen stop being a child? Can Vivian be stopped?!
No, I'm sorry for the Gwen comment. I have to admit her character has grown immensely in such a short period of time but I still find myself questioning her thought processes.
All in all, I have to continue the series... I just have to.

Loved the continuation. The end had me crying and now I really want to read the next!
Coming out of book 3, Dark Frost, I was a little down on the series. Some issues that had been bothering me were becoming pronounced. So, I took a short break from the series and now we're back with vengeance. I seriously read Crimson Frost in one sitting. I was so pulled into the story and had to know what was going to happen next...
Gwen is growing in leaps and bounds in such a short period of time. While she still kinda bumbles around, she is learning about this world that she got thrown into. Now there's a new lesson regarding the law enforcement entity in this mythological world, The Protectorate. And in the first couple pages they're arresting her saying she's a Reaper? What a twist. And the story continues as Gwen tries to clear her name.
As I said earlier, I got dragged into the story and couldn't stop turning the pages. I had to see how everything shook out. I laughed out loud and I cried. Was the book perfect? No. Some of those are still there, but I didn't care. And there were a couple slow moments. But the action and story advancement were wonderful and I can't wait to move on to the next book in the series.

Another amazing adventure with Gwen and the Mythos kids. I laughed, I cried, I loved every second of this book... Definitely worth reading... Jennifer Estep has a great writing style and knows how to keep her readers on the edge of their seats...
Also wirklich viel ist nicht passiert, aber Unterhaltungswert ist auf jeden Fall da und ich bin gespannt wie es weitergeht

Gwen Watching a reaper inspecting things from a cabinet and stowing them safely away before finally jumping out "To stop them" and have them run away.... Why not interrupt the Inspection... before the reaper got their hands on the stuff???
2nd
Gloating over defeating Vivian, giving the whole speech about how she, Gwen has Won this time, but no Obviously that few minutes of unneeded Monologue gave Vivian's roc time to get to her....
A few More instances like that.... Had me and my young son's screaming at the car radio in exasperation.....
"Just shut up and get on with it!!!!"
Still I do love Most the characters, and the Authors way of writing is incredible.... Not to mention the world shes created.
