I had almost given up on this series a couple of books back when it seemed like Charlaine Harris had given poor Roe a little more than her share of heartache. This entry really redeems that in a big way. It's got a satisfying mystery, some dirt on Aurora's family that's pretty juicy, and of course, a really great personal story for Roe. I'm again looking forward to the next book!

This book was as good as the rest in the series. I love all of the characters in Charlaine Harris' books.

I read this book in almost one sitting, and I enjoyed reading about the developments in Aurora's life, but the murder didn't seem as inspired as previous ones. Having said that, I'll read every book published in the Aurora series without regrets.

Far less whiney than the other books, I actually quite enjoyed this one and some of the characters it brought back were much more likeable than others.

(SPOILERS) Oh wow... The first mention of this highly prestigious and coveted Uppity Women club comes 8 books into the series and then *shock and surprise* it's the motive for the murder after all?! WHO could've seen THAT coming /s. This one wasn't one of the best tin the series - not by a lot - but these books are just...fun. Simple. The narrator (i listen to the audiobook) Therese Plummer really makes it for me. I doubt I'd like them as much if I were reading them myself.

Another great whodunnit, with our heroine, Aurora, investigating the death of her promiscuous sister in law.

Review - I still love Aurora as a character, and her and Robin as a couple. In a lot of ways they make more sense together than Aurora and Martin did, but I can't imagine Aurora and Robin together as they were in the first book. The series would end brilliantly here, but there is room to carry on the story if Harris decides to. I don't know what her plans are in that direction. The description is as vivid as ever and the storyline is well-executed.
