“Agni... what do you think humanity currently lacks? It’s not a warm climate, lots of food, or a God. It’s righteous education. If people lack a righteous education as their basis, then it’s easy for them to become fools. Once that happens, they can no longer be considered human.

Without an education, people cannot see past what they already know. Unable to do so, they end up proclaiming a false justice.”

SpoilerAgni accidentally kills Doma along with the children he takes care of. This pushed him to finally want to end his life and drown himself, just to be saved by Togata. Who after being exposed to the inextinguishable flames, burns to death and tells Agni to: “Live”.

Didn't Agni have a change of heart 2 volumes ago? Where did all the momentum go?

Also, Catharsis is the exact feeling one gets after reading this series. I get mission accomplished.

Pain.
Fujimoto is an incredible visual storyteller. This is such a visual work as well, often paced like it would be a scene in a film.
I do feel the story has kind of taken a sudden leap forward, but it's still great. He sure knows how to ruin your day too.

Plato's allegory of the cave reference on Doma's revelation is mf satisfying but I hated to see Togata die!! No resurrections, this time? I mean she's burnt to a crisp. And Agni turned into a villain... Augh! Btw, this is my favorite volume!!
