A novel about time travelling feminists in a historical editing war with time travelling misogynists is a little on the nose but I still enjoyed it.

Newitz grounds the premise in emotion derived from her own trauma, which brings a resonance to the characters they may not have had.

A fabulously creative story that intertwines history and fiction. I love how this book is full of women our stories and our resilience. I also think it shows the pain victims of abuse cope with the violence against them. It also clearly showcases how violence against women has surrounded and shaped our lives. I also really appreciate how it shows the war waged on women from birth and the necessity of fighting back and the gay areas that arise when we do.
