Incredibly predictable.
Saw the incest twist coming from a mile away.
But I was entertained, even though some of the characters felt goofy and over the top and the ending scene with her mom made me roll my eyes.

Definitely a story more of reflection and grief rather than a mystery.
I guesses who the killer was, and the twist seemed really familiar. I’m left with questions at the end though because of Tommy

Well written and engaging characters. However, it was easy to predict the main plot points (I figured out one by page 6!) and I wasn’t surprised by anything that developed. Would read from this author again, though!

It's an overdone topic but honestly, I really enjoyed this book even if it was a but predictable. There was strong character development and I really enjoyed the writing. For a debut novel, I am impressed.

Although the story didn't ring as completely new to me, I was impressed with Collins' writing and the characterization. Rather than a saccharine relationship between the sick mother and the haunted daughter, it was refreshing to read complex characters handling complicated situations in a way that felt authentic.
