A hectic ride

I honestly didn't completely love this book. I spent a large amount of time telling Kee to JUST TELL HIM. I had a hard time believing the 12 year time jump when they still acted like they were teenagers most of the time. I understand they'd been through trauma and miscommunication but come ON. I did enjoy the book overall, the plot was good, I liked their connection and possessiveness. The spice was good. It was just the small slips of reality (any additional world building/explanation of the company or business dealings) were unbelievable and didn't make a lot of sense. I love the intermixing of the other stories, it's a favorite thing of mine. The switch from real to fake was very sudden but actually believable for the context. I can't wait to read olive and Dimitri!

“You’re almost to book boyfriend status by saying that.” “The goal is to get to book husband status.”

I’m addicted to this series, I can’t want for the last one to come out in Sept!

The “my wife” and lack of 3rd act break up was awesome!

I fear the plot line was lost a little in this book. I still enjoyed it I just didn’t love it as much as the other two before it.

The reason for the forced proximity just did not make sense at all to me. The spice levelled up in this and I do still love Dex but yeah just felt like something was missing and it kinda felt like it was written for the sake of it.

However having said that I did love the implementation of new characters in this book as we see more of Keelani’s friendship group and more of Dimitri which I really did love.

Shain Rose really does write good billionaire romances and I would still recommend this for people I just think maybe my expectations were too high going into it.
