Good but not my favorite. There was just something about Kee and Dex that didn't mesh for me. And the power and influence the Hardy's have just keeps getting more ridiculous and taking me out of the story.

Keelani and Dex’s tale stretches over several years and is difficult to articulate. Their affection wasn’t enough to keep them together during high school, and when given another chance, love could be the very thing that tears them apart. Keelani harbors secrets that were central to their separation, and now Dex has the chance to uncover the truth, determined to ensure that nothing or no one will hinder their journey this time.

My heart felt utterly shattered while reading this book due to the immense pain, yet Shain masterfully wove it back together as Keelani and Dex embarked on their healing journey. It was truly heartwarming to witness their family come together to support these two in discovering their happily ever after.

3/5🌶️   I think this was my favourite book out of the series so far. I love a childhood love story that ended in turmoil but then they fall for each other again. I’m reality Dex and Kee never actually feel out of love for each other, they just had to work out some issues due to her record label. I liked that Dax and her friends pushed her to be herself again and stand up for what’s right. This book definitely shines a light on how young artists are treated in the music industry sometimes and it’s quite sad. But now she owns the record label thx to Dex and the Hardy family. And let me tell you the Hardy’s will do anything for family including murder when it comes it their women and that’s how it should be in real life.

Mehhhh.

Lots of payoff if you've followed her other books with the Armanelli's. I liked the first in this series best (Between Commitment and Betrayal) but this would be a close second. Dex is an excellent overprotective alpha male. The tantric chair was a cool new scene I hadn't read before. Her spice is always great.
