A good addition to the Bailey saga. Denver and Cleo are a good couple. I guess you could call this an enemies to lovers story.

Cleo had a lot of baggage that she needed to deal with after her father Chip passed away. Denver had to deal with feeling like everything he loved always left him.

As they come together to try to save her father's business, Denver and Cleo discover they are exactly what one another needs to move forward in their lives and be successful.

This book was full of secrets and unexpected twists. I listened to the audio book. I waa surprised that the male narrator did not have more dialogue since the book was supposed to be about Denver Bailey. The female narrator's voice is pretty much the same with all of the female characters.

The story was interesting, and it had an epilogue. I guess it's Phoenix's story up next.

This book was perfectly titled. Denver Bailey was everything he'd been made out to be in the other books in this series, but he changed in all the best ways when he partnered up with Cleo. I wasn't sure what to think of Cleo initially because she gave off the rich girl persona, but that's not who she was. There were a couple of surprises, but that's to be expected with the Bailey family. We got to see everyone we've come to love from previous books, but it is not a requirement to read any book before this one. This story stands alone. I really enjoyed this book and I love this series.

I absolutely love the Bailey series! I wasn’t sure Denver was going to be able to win me over but he really did! Wow! He was such a player in the past, never taking anything seriously and he finally has to step up. He meets his match and Cleo is amazing! This is such a beautiful book. I didn’t think it would be so tender and special but Piper and Rayne just keep writing these amazing stories. Thank you to Piper and Rayne. I can always depend on you for the perfect book!

Denver and Cleo have a hate-to-love relationship. They both get thrown into a situation they never expected to be in so soon and neither expected to have to be stuck to the other.

Both characters have some preconceived notions about each other, but as their story goes on and they start to have to listen to each other, layers start to get peeled and they find that they actually like each other. Cleo puts up a massive front and really isn't the character she makes herself out to be. She's completely different to her mother and her sister as she had a rustic and down-to-earth man like her father. Denver hasn't got time for her spoilt brat tendencies and the tension between them is instant. It isn't until they both realise they're not getting anywhere with the business that they talk like adults.

This was another funny and laugh-out-loud book added to the series. Denver and Cleo grew on me and Cleo had great character development. Adding in the TV series gave the bonus of the one-bed trope which I crave and it added all the right bits of tension where needed.

Demise of a Self-Centered Playboy is out now! This is the fifth book in Piper Rayne’s The Baileys series. I absolutely adore this series and feel like each book in the series is better than the last. I definitely recommend reading this series in order as the Bailey family is featured heavily in each of the books (which I love). It’s nice catching up with the previous couples as well as getting to know the other siblings.

Denver is a bush pilot who works at Lifetime Adventures, an adventure & survivalist excursions company. Cleo is the daughter of Lifetime Adventures’ owner. When Chip, the owner, passes away, Denver and Cleo must work together to keep Lifetime Adventures going. We realize that there is more to both Cleo and Denver than meets the eye. They’ve both been hurt throughout their lives. Can they heal together or are they the worst possible thing for each other?

I’ll be honest – I was not sure what to expect from Denver. I didn’t have many good thoughts about him based on his appearances in the previous books. I am happy to say he definitely grew on me and by the middle of this book I became a definite Denver fan. Cleo, on the other hand, took a bit longer for me to warm up to. I did not like her at all at the beginning but she eventually won me over too. I loved watching the friendship form between the two and appreciated that this was more of a slow-burn story.

Savannah and Liam are still my favorite Bailey couple, but Denver and Cleo are right up there! I definitely recommend this 5 star read and am counting down the days until I can read Phoenix’s story!

Oh how I love the Bailey’s! Just this whole family I am loving. Love series that follows a family, it’s fun getting characters from previous books in the newer ones to see how they are holding up.

I was super excited to read Denver’s story. The little bits you get of him from Rome’s story I was totally intrigued with what his story was gonna be. He wasn’t what I was expecting him to be. He just melted my heart.

And Cleo was just the same. She broke my heart with her just trying to find her way in life. I got her feelings toward Denver in the beginning and was hoping it didn’t take him long to break through her walls.

Quite possibly my favorite book of the series. Love an enemies to lovers book! Boy was I wrong about Denver! He has a romantic side that didn’t show up until Cleo. Both of these characters have issues with loss and finding their place in the world and I loved every minute of watching it all come together for them.
