I enjoyed the variety of writing styles - otherwise seeing someone implementing Lovecraftian themes + romance might be increasingly odd.

This wasn't what I was expecting. I don't generally read books full of such short stories, preferring anthologies of novellas. That said, it was interesting. Some of the stories I thought were very good and showed a lot of promise for expansion, and some of them confused me; perhaps I need more background in Lovecraft than the handful of originals I've read.
It isn't exactly what you're thinking. You should give it a try.

A departure from my usual reading choices, I ended up enjoying this book of short stories. Not for the faint of heart, these stories are gripping, spooky, thrilling and at times confusing.
One note:
The part where a woman is turned on by physics and the Navier-stokes equation.... as a person traumatized by fluid mechanics.... no

This was an okay Lovecraftian homage anthology. However, the stories within are a far cry from erotica. The sex is either glossed over or non-existent. A sexier Cthulhu maybe. Perhaps a better tile would have been Cthulhuadolesecentdaydream.

I can't believe I never reviewed this, oops! This was the Vaginal Fantasy Hangout read for September and I surprisingly enjoyed it.
The stories in this collection vary A LOT. Some of them horrorific, some are romance-y, and some of them are just... weird. It did, however, inspire me to check out some real Lovecraft, so that's on my TBR tower now.

I thought this anthology was interesting and well-written overall. I liked it, and I'm glad that I read it, but in the end lusty tentacle erotica just isn't my thing.

Too many stories in too short of a span, leaving me confused.

Not quite as erk as Evolution's Darling (my favourite t******* sex book) (mainly due to less length), but some very varied and interesting stories.
