This book was a typical romcom style Christmas book it was pretty good. It was a story about Cara and Ben it was their love story. Cara and her best friend have a cat café that they open together. Cara is a vet and her hope is for the café to have affordable clinic in it as well. Her boyfriend that she had before this had scammed her when she worked at a half a million and taking all her money and ruined her career. Since then she hay stayed away from the media And so when she meets been outside of her café she instantly doesn’t like him. But when Ben brings her a little kitten and she convinces him to foster it she begins to see the true Ben. Cara had issues with her plumbing and Ben offered to come help. In exchange she was supposed to take his kitten chaos back But due to her lack of space Ben ended up keeping chaos. Ben also has a friend Swarts Who has a slight crush on Kara’s business partner charity. Charity and her family are who supported Cara after the lawsuit with her ex-boyfriend. They are the only family that she has since her grandparents have passed away. Kara and Ben decide to start having a healbound is what they call it where it’s not a rebound but they’re not in a real relationship. Ben has been fighting with his family his brother ended up marrying his fiancé and he doesn’t know how to forgive that. Well Ben and Cara bond they’re able to see their differences and help fix each other. Ben uses his marketing skills to help the cat café to raise money so they don’t have to shut down. And Cara makes Ben realize how much family really means to him. Ben had an idea for them to do 25 days a catmas were every day they did a different kind of giveaway or a gift. They end up doing this and they also use Michelle their other employee to start getting more action on their social media. Then also suggested that they do a big Christmas event and then they get donations from the community. Then he walked around the community to try to get donations to not only for this event and to keep them open but to be able to open up their clinic as well. Caras ‘s ex-boyfriend gets released from prison after only serving two years and he is already with his defense attorney. Cara and been run into them on the street and worthy makes a comment to Ben about his article. Cara becomes upset that Ben had spoke to a news reporter without talking to her even though he had told the reporter to leave and the reporter quoted the one thing he had said. Ben and Charity had work together to come up with an article to be posted that showed the positive of Cara and what she stood for. Cara didn’t like that they went behind her back and instantly became upset with them. Ben wasn’t sure what to do with care upset with him but he did forgive his brother at this point with the phone calls. Ben and Swartz bought tickets to go to Mexico for Christmas after the Christmas party was successful been in Swartz were ready to go to Mexico and Ben realize how much he misses family. Cara realize how much she misses Ben so her and charity bought tickets to go to Mexico but when they got to the airport they found out that Ben was going to Boston instead to see his family. So Cara had to find Ben at the airport and when she did they want to Boston together in Cara got to meet his family. Cara also got to convince Ben’s family to adopt a cat. I forgot to say that before Christmas all of the cats were adopted until they had an empty café for Christmas. And they raise enough funds to not only keep themselves open but to open the clinic as well. And after the article that Ben had posted speaking the good of Cara a lot of people were wanting to send funds and their support. This book was your typical romcom love story of two grumpy people stuck in their ways who decide to give it a chance and bring out the best in each other. I love the aspect of the cats in it and I love the cat café so this was definitely a super cute little Christmas read. There had also been a little old lady in this book who came to visit often and sit with the cats and had a soft spot for the cat named peanut. The one day she brought all her kids and grandchildren in and they all adopted the cat and she finally adopted peanut. She had talked to Cara about carrying a certain authors books inside of her café and at the end of the book she sent Cara a Christmas present that had a book inside of it and told Cara that she had been burn out and not able to write and after coming into this cozy little café she was able to start writing again and so the book was about the café. Cara told Ben she never realized she was inspiring and that made Cara realize how inspiring and uplifting she is for everyone.

This was a charming, dual POV, opposites attract holiday romance full of adorable rescue cats, tons of kitty puns and a lot of heart. Kara and Ben get off to a rocky start but eventually these two start working together to try and help Veterinarian Kara save her Cat Cafe and 25 rescue cats right before the holidays. I enjoyed the banter between these characters and thought the audiobook was really well done narrated by Felicity Munroe (who did an impressive Boston accent). Highly recommended for fans of Julia London or Kate McMurray's Whitman Street Cat Cafe series. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

In this cozy small-town Christmas read, veterinarian and cat café proprietor Kara and marketing man Ben don’t make the best first impressions on each other, but as they get to know each other more, they realize that friendship—and maybe something more—can grow between them.

This is a cute read about good people who do good things for others. Both main characters have baggage that they need to work through, but with the help of a couple of good friends, a clowder of cats, and each other, they grow, change, and heal.

I thoroughly enjoyed the dating profile descriptions of the cats and their punny names at the beginning of each chapter as well as the antics and personalities of some of the feline friends—especially kitten Chaos who insinuates himself into Ben’s life—but overall, the book lacked a spark for me. It was a sweet, but not engrossing, read.

I received an advance copy from Forever and NetGalley. All review opinions are my own.

A Cat Cafe Christmas is perfect for people who love cats, Christmas, and romance!
This book is fun, engaging, and a great read! The book follows the c0-owner of Meow and Furrever Cat Café (Kara) who is trying to get the café back out of the red and help cats get adopted, and a marketing guru (Ben) who offers to help with a plan that will get the café in the green before the new year.
The development the main characters had in this story was great, and I loved the incorporation of the cats that are available for adoption at the beginning of each chapter .
I am so glad I read this book, and recommend / think this book is perfect for anyone that wants a fun holiday read. It is also perfect for cat lovers!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
The book comes out on October 4, 2022 and I will be ordering a physical copy to read it again!

Veterinarian Kara meets Business Guy Ben in a classic rom-com tiff, launching them into an enimies-to-lovers journey. Kara's passion project cat cafe is struggling financially and Ben's business consultation comes in handy for that. I'll be honest in that I wasn't really feeling their chemistry too much, I thought their stint as ~enemies~ wasn't very convincing and that they never really didn't like each other. This was more typically a novelization of a Hallmark Christmas movie as opposed to a traditional sexy romance novel-- it was very PG. There's of course some drama: will the cat cafe raise enough money to keep its doors open? Will Ben and Kara deal with their relationship baggage and learn to trust again? Will they get all of cats adopted before Christmas? Time will tell.

This was a good lead-in to my annual Christmas rom com traditions, but I wouldn't jump to recommend it beyond people who are into the genre like I am.
