(3.5/5) Everything I expected this book to be, it was. Cozy Christmas Hallmarky book that’s great for the upcoming holiday season. This book has all the things: grumpy x grumpy, mystery old woman that visits the cafe, we must save this cat cafe/vet clinic by the end of the year, evil ex, etc etc. The pacing was decent and I liked the character growth we experienced for Ben and Kara over the course of the book.

But let’s be honest, the REAL main characters in the book were the sweet cats: the adorable illustrations and blurbs at the beginning of each chapter were one of my favorite parts of this book. Now, what are the chances I can convince my husband to get me a kitten for Christmas???

This one was super cute! This follows Ben and Kara - two opposites that mesh well together. Ben is the organized and centered marketing guy who had his heart brutally broken by his fiancee and brother. Kara is the shy, but sassy veterinarian that owns a coffee shop and partial shelter and clinic for cats who had her heart destroyed by a conman.

Ben, not an animal person, finds a kitten in his house while renovating and fosters him while Kara tries to find a furever home for the little terror. And in return, Ben tries to help Kara and Charity (her business partner) with some marketing ideas to help their business succeed because they truly do so much for the animals.

This one literally had me swooning. Cats. Christmas. Closed door romance. This was just too cute, sweet, and genuine for words.

It may be the spooky season but it’s also not to soon to be thinking about Christmas. A Cat Cafe Christmas is a holiday romance with Hallmark vibes…which I love. Kara is a vet and co-owner of Meow and Furrever a cafe and cat rescue. Ben works at a marketing agency. Both have been burnt by love in the past.

I am a cat person and I loved the premise of the Cat Cafe.
Loved the chapter art and the descriptions of each adoptable cat.
Kara and Ben - opposites attract and they grow closer as they work to save the Cat Cafe.
And as they grow closer, they start to heal from past hurts.
Overall, an enjoyable, feel good holiday romance.

Thanks to NetGalley and Forever Pub for the advance readers copy. All thoughts are my own.

I liked the beginning. It lost me in the middle/end. The dialogue got on my nerves. Best parts of the book were the cat adoptions. A lot of made up words gave me the ick: ex. “Kisservention” and “healbound”

Overall cute but cheesy/predictable (which is what I expected)

Cats, Christmas, and cozy vibes. A Cat Cafe Christmas offers a Hallmark vibes premise of a heroine trying to start over and run a beloved cat cafe.

By far my favorite part of the book were the cat intros and descriptions that mark the beginning of a new chapter. Our main characters are flawed and stand on the trope of enemies to lovers. I didn't feel particularly connected to any of the characters other than Matilda, the cat. It felt the characters leaned too far into their flaws and insecurities from past trauma. For example, Kara is just always jumping to conclusions and standing firmly rooted in her point of view. While I understand and can empathize to a point of why she does, she consistently pushed others a way over it and it toed the miscommunication/no communication line. The setting is fun, fresh, and unique. The vibes are cozy and a perfect read to snuggle up with your own furry friend by the Christmas tree.

Received a review copy from Netgalley.

This book was super cute! As a cat lover, I loved the story and all the cats. The cat names/profiles made me laugh at the beginning of each chapter. I felt like Ben and Kara were both complex characters and showed some growth as the book went on. I also love how the book showed the importance of adopting a cat and giving it a furever home if possible. It just gave me some good feels.

This was adorable! Since I love cats I really enjoyed the setting with the cat café but also all the cats that lived with the different characters.

Ben was a sweetheart and Kara has the biggest heart with being a veterinarian and caring for all the cats.

Read this is you want a very charming Christmas novel that warms your ❤️

Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a free, electronic ARC of this novel received in exchange for an honest review.
