I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.

I started reading this book as soon as I finished reading Not At First. I had to know what was gonna happen next. What I found was a book full of suspense, romance, pain, and enlightenment.

Angel is in love with Kevin but to keep him safe she needs to stay with Roman. A man she once loved but has now come to fear but still excites her sexually. She will do anything to keep Kevin safe but can't help the draw she feels towards him. The connection she felt towards Kevin that confused her once now makes perfect sense to her.

We get a more in depth look in this book into Kevin's feelings for Angel. Through some really great flashback scenes we get glimpses into his initial encounters with Angel and see how his love has grown through the years. Kevin truly loves Angel and wants nothing more than to take her away and protect her from Roman. A man he knows is dangerous.

Roman is a dangerous man and he hates not being obeyed. The way he treats Angel makes me sick. I know in his own he does love her but his need to be in total control of everything has doomed him.

I was on the edge of my seat reading this book. My heart broke for Kevin at times during this book. I was scared of Roman would do to Kevin and her friends. I wasn't worried about him physically hurting Angel because of the fact that she's pregnant but that didn't mean that I wasn't scared that he might do some emotional damage to her. I began disliking Roman even more while reading this book. I even found myself crying at times for Angel and what she's experiencing. A wonderful read that I know I will be reading again.
