I ended up liking Olivia & Natalia’s story best.

The dynamic between Finn (Ghost) and Valerie is excellent. There is some fun fan service in the appearance of Z and Jessica, but the pop-up appearances of the other shadowlands couples read as more of an inventory of past books rather than part of the core narrative. The drama over Finn's past came off as manufactured, although Valerie's slimy ex was believable.

I effing loved it.

You never know what MS. Sinclair will bring to a story but you can count in it to be hot and sexy. And full of surprises.

An effing wonderful continuation in a series

Another family reunion with the community that is the Shadowlands. This storyline may headline the romance of Ghost and Valerie but all of my favorite characters come along for the ride. Valerie being a good bit older than the other shadow kittens was a pleasant surprise for me as an older reader. However, her life was no less complicated than the other subs. As a newbie finding her way in “the life” she could not have met better match than Ghost, if they can mesh their public lives with their BDSM lives. Great read!

I have been reading this series for over ten years. I love the diversity of relationships, age, body shape, and identity. I also love that not only are we getting glimpses into the lives of past relationships, but we also see some continuing story lines. This particular book includes a sub in her 50s starting over after divorce and a Dom with a prosthetic leg. She's enjoys receiving pain for pleasure.
