Ein unglaublich kluger Roman, der danach fragt, welche Rolle die Geschichte, aber auch Beziehungen und individuelle Entscheidungen für das eigene Leben spielen, der mehrere Generationen umfasst und das Trauma, das von einer zur anderen weitergegeben wird, zeigt. Schwer erträglich fand ich die Beschreibungen einer Missbrauchsbeziehung und des langsamen Todes eines geliebten Menschen. Vielschichtig und realistisch, aber auch lang.
