Don't mind me, sitting here in my bath crying at these two. What a beautiful story, and such a wholesome relationship.
Any time mental health is involved in a story it hits me deep, because I've been there, multiple times, and I can feel Edin's struggle.
I only highlighted one line in this book, and it's the one that resonated with me 'I struggle easier when you're with me.' As someone who has struggled with my mental health, this line is so validating because I have a select few people in my life who make struggling easier; not just romantic relationships, but strong friendships as well.
Crea has the most incredible universe, where people who are damaged find love, and are loved exactly how they come. There's no desire to change them, just help them find space to feel safe, and for those characters to find their own journey to healing.

I really enjoy most of these books. I find them nonsensical and fun. The author creates her own rules and societal norms in our universe so you have to shut off your brain just a little bit.

The characters and relationships are well developed. Some parts of the book can feel like the drag a little bit and there were a couple plot points I felt got cut short (like meeting the nhl brother for the first time). We were in LA and then next chapter skipped ahead felt abrupt.

Overall an enjoyable read.

Eli and Edin both attend the same college but are in different fraternities and play different sports; despite being on the same campus, they have an unusual meeting. Eli edits some of Edin’s videos, until he gets a starring role as well. As they start recording together, Eli sees Edin and will not let him hide. Edin has no room in his life for a relationship, but Eli will be there when he has it (even if it is just walking home). I love how important community it is to them, and they have the best support system. Eli knows how important Edin’s daughter, best friend and his husband are to him, just as Edin knows how much Eli and his twin need each other. They were both ready to embrace their circle expanding. This book has some dark undertones, so please read the author’s note first. I cannot wait to go through this author’s backlist and to see what is next.

Edin, what a beautiful broken soul. After having a glimpse of his life in the first book my heart broke for him. After reading this book, my heart completely shattered for him but thankfully by the end of the book, it was put back together again. Crea highlighted his struggles and highlighted it in such a beautiful, delicate way.

Eli could see how broken Edin was and did everything in his power to put him back together again. I LOVE Eli and how he was there for Edin in every way possible, he helped him put his missing pieces back together. Watching these two interact and slowly fall in love was a beautiful thing.

Edin's top priority was his daughter Mo and everything he did was for her. The found family and support system in this book was incredible. I loved how accepting everyone was of Mo and the frat house, how they turned in to a family. Both Mo and Edin needed that in their life.

What a heartbreaking and heartwarming story all at once. I went through all the emotions. Such a great read.

Oh the way I love Eli and Edin!!! Mo is AMAZING. She’s the perfect combination of precocious and sweet. She stills the show. I love the way Edwin’s mental health struggles are portrayed and even though he’s already been doing the work for years I love that we get to experience a new phase of healing for him. One he’s only able to get to because of the work he’s already done.

I’m a sucker for found family and this book does a great job of showing that family can be phenomenal no matter if it’s blood or love that binds you. It’s also perfectly acceptable to cut ties with toxic family even parents.

I just really loved every moment of this love story.

I was excited when I learned Edin book was next. I was hoping so as we saw him in Rumor Has It and I wanted more. This book did not disappoint. Edin and Eli relationship  was sweet and when you add Edin daughter Mo into mix it just made the story better. Honestly I couldn't put this book down and I can’t wait for more of the side characters to become the star.
