Jesus! This book freaked me out from the beginning having no idea what happened to her friend right up until the end of the book and how they realised what life had become!! Honestly genuinely creeped me out reading this and I'd recommend it to those of you who don't mind a bit of darkness and true to home type stories.

I really enjoyed the suspense and build up of this, you really get a feel for how powerless the main character feels. The end kinda fell flat more me and I wanted more.

  • Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

Short and to the point, but entirely predictable and immensely lackluster. I enjoyed the simple story, but it was a little TOO simple for my taste. Lots of unanswered questions despite the attempt at speculating them all away at the end - which is weird, because the questions were like, "Who did it?" and the answer was "The guy standing outside." "Why'd he do it?" "Well he's a pedo, it's what they do." "Why me?" "You kinda let him..." "I don't understand!"

I really wanted to care, but I got lost in wondering why the titular character never thought to do anything else other than get swept up in her misery if she was maintaining that she was "determined to find out what happened."

I would have enjoyed this way more if I saw Laura be smart just one time. Just one time.
