I loved getting to know this king so much! He and Alexa’s romance is fiery and intoxicating. You just can’t help but to root for them. Cross has a somewhat dark background that he fears will be their undoing, but Alexa doesn’t mind. She just wants more of the raw and real Cross. Cross gives all the touch her and die vibes you come to expect from a Shantel novel, but also delivers a strong and independent FMC. I loved her character arc and all that she grew to be as a business woman and a queen. This one also made me ready for Jasmine’s novel to be written!
