As much as I enjoyed Kane and Ava it was so refreshing to get back to an actual Valleti. I love the forbidden love aspect and how unapologetic Tommy and Tonya are about it. They know it’s wrong but they never regret a moment of it.

Tommy and tonya
It starts off with them having sex and we figure out that she’s a cop and he’s still under investigation, they say this will be the end of them but he wants to keep her. And then it switches to 3 weeks earlier. Tommy got a tip from the judge he would be getting arrested, he waited witn his brother Anthony for the cops. While they were bringing him in, tonya was fighting with Harrison because she knew they were bringing Tommy in unlawfully and Harrison just wants to get Tommy to talk, they don’t have anything on him. When tonya sees Tommy she didn’t realize how good looking and attractive he would be. She knows her interest in Tommy is that he’s her only lead to Petrov and she wants revenge for what he did to her sister. Tommy doesn’t give any information on anything and once his lawyer arrives he’s released. He tells Anthony he wants to look a cop up he thinks she’s new. She had quizzed him about abram Petrov and having a dead girl in the back of his car, she wants to know his where abouts, Tommy doesn’t say anything out loud but we know abram is dead and his body was shipped off as a message. We find out that tonya became a cop because she wanted revenge for her sister Melissa. She had been a nurse who never did anything out of line and when she went missing they found her body in Russia months later along with other woman. Abram had sex trafficked her sister and she wanted his revenge and it just so happened there was a job opening in the last town Abram had been seen in. But the case is going cold and Tommy seems like her only hope. Mention of Vince checking his phone to hear from Elle and his son Angelo!!! Vince tells Tommy he needs to not fuck the cop. Tommy sees her outside and tells her she needs to stay away and she asks if abram is dead and he tells her she’s a cop he can’t tell her anything and she begs. She walks down an alley alone and 3 men corner her. She starts to fight them off and Tommy comes in and helps. He walks her to her car and he knows he needs to stay away from her but she’s so damn tempting. The next day she shows up at his place to thank him for fighting those guys and he ends up bringing her inside and fucking her. He realizes he lets his walks down around her and that can’t happen. Before she leaves she asks if Petrov is dead and he can’t tell her but he hates that he wants to tell her. He finds out she’s been prying around the other members of the family so he goes to see her and ends up fucking her in her bed. He can’t help but be near her. He meets her at a coffee shop and then fucks her in the ass in the parking lot and they agree to just sex but then he texts her and tells her they can’t keep doing this. But then she shows up at his door and asks to feel something so he fucks her but then Anthony shows up and finds out she’s there and freaks out. So he goes to her place to appologize but they both know this has to be over. She’s at the station listening to the next case on women and she finds out how much they knew and left her out of. They could have saved some of the women but didn’t. She was so disgusted she realized this job wasn’t for her she was done chasing ghosts. At home she realized she didn’t feel good and took a pregnancy taste and she’s pregnant with Tommy’s child. She goes to tell them but Vincent tells her tommy is in trouble and to tell him. She tells him she’s leaving and wanted to tell him she was pregnant before she left and Vincent said he’d have Tommy call her. When she gets home she realizes somethings wrong but it’s too late. She is grabbed and told she needs to call Tommy. Tommy is meeting with Vince. Vince tells him about tonya being pregnant but tells him if he chooses her and the child he is done with the family. But when tonya calls he knows she’s in danger and Vince says they’ll have his back. Tonya is smart and gets her zip ties undone but continues to wait so she can run when Tommy gets there. They get there and take the men out easily, there were only 4. She tells them they need to go she called the cops just in case. Tommy stays with her as soon as she’s released. He knows he’s losing his familia but her and the baby matter most. Vince gives him an offer for him and Anthony to be contractors for the familia now. They’re still family it just makes things less messy and not involved with the other side of things. He takes tonya to meet his family and tells him there is someone there he’d like for her to meet, Ava, and in that he gives the confession that Petrov is dead. She has her answers. In the epilogue he has a surprise baby shower waiting for her but first he proposes in front of the whole family and she says yes. Also she’s pregnant with a boy!!! I loved them. The hot and cold was so consistant but the sex was

Being on the wrong side of the law has never posed a problem for Tommy. He has always had his familia to take care of him and make sure no charges ever stick. But when things go sideways and Tommy may have bitten off more than he can chew, it makes matters worse when he feels a spark with the female cop who is questioning him. When Tommy and Tonya find themselves connected not just in the bedroom things go from bad to worse for Tommy. Will he walk away from the Valetti family in order to stay with Tonya? Or wil the Valetti Family stick by him when the Tonya's safety is in jeopardy? With great characters and enough passion to make the pages smoke this was a great read. The interwoven back and forth between duty and true love is a very fine line and Willow Winters has mastered it!!

This was spicy from start to finish, and I loved it.
The story was good, though I think it could have been a little longer, it was still enjoyable!
I liked the characters, and Tommy sounds like a bit of me!
This is a short, fun read for those that love mafia romance and spice.
