This one was a little harder to get into. I was glad to have Percy back and I was interested in Hazel, but Frank just took a while for me to warm up to. Since the third person narrative had about three chapters per character before switching I found there were times I was bored and wanted to see what someone else was doing (often Percy). It was definitely weird reading about Percy and not directly reading his thoughts, but I still enjoyed it. The difference between the two camps and how Percy wasn’t organized and as disciplined in fighting was really interesting to see because it truly highlighted the importance of trying things differently and that usual may not always work, which ties in well to Hera trying to bring balance and peace to the camps so they can work together.

Also Percy being accepted by the camp so quickly made me laugh, like yes that’s my main character! TYSON APPEARANCE I WAS STOKED

PERCY JACKSON WHEN I GET YOU

Nie mogę się doczekać aż wszyscy się spotkają to bedzie takie fenomenalne!! Kocham tych bohaterów tak bardzo. Szczególne miejsce w moim serduszku mają Leo, Nico i Percy <3 (POTRZEBUJE WIECEJ NICOO MOJEGO HOT EMOSA!!!!)

I didn't really like the way Rick Riordan started this one out, I much preferred the opening chapters of the Lost Hero. But after that I liked it. It grew off of the Olympians in the same way Roman civilization benefited from the Greeks. Hmm... funny how that works you might think it was planned or something.

Not much better, the saving grace is that Percy can carry a rugged introduction to the Roman Camp on his back. This book I have only read twice actually. Even though I've read the Lost hero at least 4 times I never connected with son of Neptune. Probably because Frank and Hazel are my least favorite of the crew. Hazel's backstory is good but I really just didn't care for her and franks interactions along with a boring story... I did like the part with Frank's grandma though that was touching Detail. It also introduces Reyna who I do like up till Trials of Apollo.
