I read this book a while back it wasn't too bad but it's very one sided, however it is very informative on how animals are mistreated and the things that they go through.

I found this book sometime back in college. A funny and educational read, it opened my eyes to the possibility of eating healthier and even more so taking the plunge into the world of vegetarianism. Because of this book, I was a vegetarian for 6 glorious months in which I ate all sorts of "plant-based" burgers and tofu (yuck).

I think I'll always remember this book fondly. It allowed me to help out the poor slaughtered animals that were at the time the hottest topic in the classrooms - think circa 2008. And of course being the animal activist that I am I wanted to help in anyway I could. For awhile I felt like I made a difference until one day I lost the battle...and I just had to have a piece of fried chicken.

A fun book that is very much a Vegan-serious piece. I will definitely be trying a few of the recommended recipes as well as check out their maternity version, when the time comes.

Finding a book on vegan pregnancy excited me. However, this one was a bit of a disappointment. I didn't like the tone of the book. It was misogynist (both in terms of the language it used, the way it views women's bodies and motherhood). It lacked a lot of the answers to nutritional questions I have about vegan pregnancy - it's more of an intro to veganism while you're pregnant than a book for pregnant vegans and vegetarians.
