Loved this book!
I don't usually read the Children's Book Council of Australia shortlisted book, but the premise of this one was intriguing. Imagine not feeling you had "the right" to grieve! I adored Stella's character, even when she was at her crankiest. Some really tricky topics, handled with great sensitivity - blended families, sibling rivalry, body image, racism. Lovely episode of bonding over an unexpected period. What i liked most was that it was all so believable.
