It's unique and different. In every chapter or month, Laura Esquivel describes a unique dish and through making the dish we get to know a little more about the love story between Tita and Pedro.

what the fuccck! I was so mad at her for not staying with John. Thats all. Thats the review. Jk. The fact that she was finally able to be with "the love of her life" just to die. SERIOUSLY?! My heart!!

Una estrella por ser corto, otra por el elemento de realismo mágico. Todo lo demás una cagada

This book was absolutely insane but so enjoyable. I loved the weaving of the recipes into the story, all of them left me feeling hungry and inspired. I will not lie though, I hated Pedro and feel that the book would have been better if the ending was different.

I think I'm much to black and white to enjoy books of the magic realism genre. This is a good story but just not for me. And I sort of think Pedro was a jerk!
