I really enjoyed this it was much funnier than Emma and it was so fun to read Austen where I don't already know the plot

Molto bello anche se ho trovato alcuni passaggi un po’ lenti; in generale la lettura è stata piacevole ma pesante. Non so se sia il romanzo più adatto per approcciare la Austen ma ho in intenzione di leggerne di altri.

Yet again, my biggest regret is that I didn't give this book a chance, just because I expected it to be dull and without an interesting storyline. I started reading it with extemely low expectations, just curious to see what all the fuss was about (all of my book nerd friends who've read it absolutely adore it). After 50 pages I hadn't found anything that should interest me, so I put the book down and decided to continue some other time.

Now that I did find the time and the enthusiasm to finish it, I found a lot of similarities with Elinor and Marianne's relationship and my relationship with my sister. My sister is a dreamer just like Marianne and easily brushes those off who don't agree with her, and I tend to observe and analyze everything in the fear of making a rash decision and regretting it later in life, just like Elinor. For this reason I was hooked on finding out how the sisters ended up in this mess of feelings and sickness that circled around their existance.

Austen is truly a genius. I adored her word choices and ways to describe the feelings of the sisters. I felt like I was really there in their world listening and observing all the happenings messing up the nobelties lives. One of my new favourite books and authors.

Mi menos favorito, pero muy bonitas historias

A study on class, humanity, and life. Don’t read as a romance book for peak enjoyment.

3.5

I fear I may be more Marianne than Elinor
