ALEXANDRA, AFTER THIS BOOK WE ARE NO LONGER ON SPEAKING TERMS (At least until I finish In The After)

**SPOILERS**

I loved Jude so much. He was the best addition to the team. In no way could he replace Zu, but it was nice to have a younger kid to have around. He was so cute. AND THEN ALEXANDRA KILLED ME BY KILLING HIM. I WAS SPOILED AND KNEW IT WAS COMING, BUT WAS STILL NOT AT ALL PREPARED. I AM SO UPSET.

My Liam & Ruby shipping heart was crying this book. The whole block of scenes in the gas/auto station, killed me. I was so happy that he remembered, but what he said, and felt, and what Ruby said and felt, and just everything...AH. IT HURT. I love these two too much.

I just...have so many feelings of the book. I loved it so much more than The Darkest Minds. Definitely my favorite so far.

for some reason, 2nd books always separate the love interest, which also separates my interest. i found the first 2/3rds of this one to be kinda boring, just something to get through to get to the better parts. i feel like Ruby's choice to send away Liam did too much to separate them as people because he is no longer in the same place mentally as she is, which he would have been had they stayed together. it also seems odd to me that he is still wanting to go off with Charles (I'm not calling him Chubs) instead of being behind the idea of doing whatever they could to liberate the camps. so while still good, i didn't much like this one and i hope things start going better in book 3.

also...how could Liam not know where his parents were if he wrote a note to Zu telling her their fake names and address back in book 1? altho i suppose the book never specifically said that looking for his parents is what Liam was doing for the past 6 months...that might have just been Ruby's assumption.

Woah.. so much better than the first! I could not put it down. I am left both heartbroken and hopeful. Can’t wait to start number three!

I liked this one SO much better than the first book! It was easier to follow and the action was AMAZING.

Okay this series has gotten SO GOOD 🥰 I am obsessed with these characters.

My heart was broken at the end of book one. Finding out that Chubs was alive was a win. I kinda love how much of a badass Ruby became. I am curious about her parents though considering Liam could remember his feelings for her. I wonder if her parents regained their memory of her and that’s why they left her name on their voicemail. Ruby being able to use her powers without touching some one was badass. I hate Clancy. Also the fact that he survived but Jude didn’t is HEARTBREAKING. Finding out Cole is a red is insane and that there is a cure. I’m so interested to see how all of this is going to play out in the last book.
