Es repetitivo, siento que deja de lado las sutilezas tratando de dejar claro un mensaje, un mensaje que admiro y comparto pero lo hace de una manera en que resulta cansino, la autora se esfuerza tanto en transmitir ese mensaje que se queda encerrada en el intento. No va más allá, no desarrolla el mundo y el desarrollo de la trama comparte el mismo destino.
El concepto de la historia y el mensaje que se busca transmitir son excelentes, plantean un potencial increíble, que lamentablemente se quedan en posibilidad, no en hecho.
Desde hace meses moría por leerlo pero no pudo ser, no descarto del todo la posibilidad de retomarlo en algún momento.

Okay this was fun.
I grew up with the classic Disney stories and haven’t delved into retellings very much so I really enjoyed this.
This was a darker retelling of what is happening 200ish years after Cinderella married Prince Charming. I enjoyed the overall story but for me the romance side of things took away from the story.
Looking forward to the next instalment, about Snow White!

this book was phenomenal!! the storytelling was so interesting, all the twists and turns the plot took kept me wanting to read the book. i was rooting for sophia the whole time, and loved the little blooming romance she got to experience unashamedly.
the only reason i’m not giving this a 5 stars is just because everything connects at the end and although it doesn’t necessarily feel rushed, i think i didn’t get a really time to process it and i think maybe seeing a bit more of a descriptive ending would’ve added a bit more closure to the story, as well. still an AMAZING read for people who love fairytale retellings.
