It took a while to accept what was going on and I’m glad I did!
Ending reaction -I realize I am not a good person because I wasn’t rooting for them to escape! I wanted a sinister twist lol!!
I enjoyed that I was able to catch on to some of the clues and questions, but not all of them - very clever!
I recommend the audio to help keep track of characters with the different voices since it all stays in first person!

Writing was interesting however the main character is fat phobic and I was uninterested in continuing.

This was a really great book to start the new year with, a very deeply interwoven mystery that provides an interesting premise explored through unconventional means. Although at times it was a little tricky to keep track of everything, Turton's vivid character descriptions and pacing worked well in revealing information in a satisfying way, and it was well worth sticking through to the end for the reveal. I really enjoyed it!
I'm not sure how to feel about this book because it wasn't what I expected. had to use audio to get through it but idk maybe give it a shot another time now that I kinda understand

I think this would have benefitted GREATLY from a good editor. The book is WAY too long and for the wrong reasons. We are left knowing very little about many aspects that would have been interesting and knowing way too much about insignificant details. I dig a descriptive cinematic style, but this was just pedantic.
