I listened to this as an audiobook and want to read the book in order to find the resources listed there. Fleming combines academic discourse with personal anecdotes to make her powerful points. Although the study of oppression, systemic racism, and white supremacy is heavy, her tone was accessible which helped make it a quick read. There were times that I laughed out loud at her stories. I was intrigued by her unexpected and harsh takedown of Obama and the NY Times and appreciated her critical viewpoint. Definitely made me reflect on my own blind spots. She provided helpful suggestions at the end for the audience to use in their own racial justice journey.
