Holy fooking fuck!!! I have no idea how I feel about this book.
I loved it.
Although, I feel like I was the one being manipulated the entire time. I felt my heart break, then it was lifted only to be crushed once again.
Shay was incredibly troubled and I still don't know if I love him or hated him. There were moments where you could see the good in him. My heart truly broke for him.
The ending tore me to shreds and yet it was beautiful. Dylan Page did an amazing job. This duet was dark but it is by far one of my top reads of the year. It is going to live rent free in my head for a long time now.

So I read this book in May 2023 (it’s now July, 2023). This story just pops into my head at the weirdest times. And when that happens I get the strangest feelings when I think about Shay. God, it’s just such a fucked up story.
This is one of the few books that I would consider a true dark romance. I think people often associate ‘dark romance’ with some kind of intense or kink based sex, but it’s not. Dark romance is conflicting, line blurring and immoral at times. This is exactly what this book is.

Please take note of the trigger warnings.
