Conan Doyle's stories are timeless but Stephen Fry's narration makes this sing!

Just to be clear– I did not read this entire volume. I read around 20 of the short stories for a class of mine this semester.
I really enjoyed it! After a few of them they start to feel pretty formulaic, but they always have a new twist and spark to them that makes them worth reading regardless. I recommend it to anyone who's interested in SH and his afterlives, but in small bites, not all at once.

If I haven't read all of these, I've come pretty close. I actually want to purchase the new edition that recently came out, because I'm not sure what my edition (my dad's) encompasses.

With mystery and more, the story of Sherlock Holmes is fascinating and the narration in this audio book is wonderful. If reading the book is difficult, then try the audio book. Although it may take awhile to read or listen to, Sherlock Holmes is well worth it.
Sherlock has become a pop culture icon, and for good reason, the character as portrayed is an archetype unmatched. But the actual prose is hollow, as are the characters. They exist merely as sets for Holmes himself, who is more idea than man.
