I have always had this on my to be read list and finally got to read it. Wow, what a great book. Loved getting to know Holmes and Watson better. Better than I thought it would be. One of those that you can read and re-read.

I adored reading Sir Conan Doyle’s Holmes. I feel proud to say that I’ve read all the original stories and now I can go off and read other stories based upon his works as well as voraciously watch all the television versions I can get my hands on. This is definitely a favorite for me. It shall be staying on the keepers list for a long time! I can imagine myself coming back and re-reading more about Holmes and Watson in the future.
Rated: 5.0/5.0—Overall, I am now a Sherlock Holmes fan in all respects. I love the canon stories; I love the movies and tv shows; I love the fan fiction for the BBC tv show; if there is only one thing on my bucket list Sherlock Holmes related, it is to go to the SH museum in London on Bakers Street.

I love Sherlock Holmes!! Even if you’ve never read a Sherlock Holmes’ story, you know who he is- although your image may not be accurate. The real Sherlock Holmes is funny, eccentric and empathetic, even though he can be cold. The stories, too, are fantastic- even though it should be said that they are, at points, painfully of their times. They are often funny, bizarre, and scary, and they are always interesting. What I found interesting is how they’d often use their own form to challenge the audiences’ perceptions of class, gender and sometimes even race. These stories are fantastic, and although I’m sad to have finished them, I’m so glad I did!!
