An atmospheric tale of forests and faeries. Spooky but low stakes. Short, cozy read.
Oh wow, this was lovely. I picked this up randomly and listened to the audio. I was so very pleasantly surprised. This has such beautiful prose. Such a sweet story taking it's idea from the folklore of the green man in the woods. I loved Tobias and his quiet strength. His being drawn to Silver and wanting to protect him was just lovely. Of course, Silver's mom is a great trip as well. The dryad's were such a fascinating part of the story and the whole thing was just lovely. This is a nice tight novella that feels complete in and of itself, without feeling rushed, but I'm also excited that there's another novella in the series.

This was a nice cozy fantasy read. If you loved The House on the Cerulean Sea and fairytalew I think will love this story as well.
