I tried so hard to get into this book. I didn't really connect with any of the characters, I cringed at every choice, and I was forcing myself to continue... I finally gave up.

This was my second book by Ms. Sutanto, and I thought Dial A for Aunties was solid, but I liked the writing style more in this one. I thought it was really creepy, and I was so incredibly stressed out by the mom's boyfriend. I did feel like the ending was a little abrupt and kind of got the writer out of a tight bind, which was a bit unsatisfying. I also wanted a little more info about the gal who died from the drug thing.
Graphic: Bullying, Death, Toxic relationship, Child abuse, and Domestic abuse
Moderate: Murder and Abandonment
Minor: Alcohol, Alcoholism, Blood, Grief, Vomit, and Drug use

It was an enjoyable read. Felt the ending was a bit rushed.
