Wow. Wowowowowowowoowwow. My brain is reeling after finishing this book in two days! It was fast paced and a lot of the chapters ended in cliff hangers so it was impossible to put down. Loved every moment of this super dark, twisty, scary, and Scottish lore ridden book!

I was intrigued as it was set in Ireland and was about living with a murderer. After the first chapter it felt to live reliving abusive people I've lived with and so I stopped because that's not my reading interest of exploration. Definitely a well written start and pov but personally, not for me.

A bit predictable & slow (though I didn’t see the final twist coming) but otherwise enjoyable.

Almost gave this two stars, but the concept of the book was unique, and I enjoyed the fast pace and easy read. The “thriller” aspect and romances kinda fell flat for me though. The shock/surprise parts were half-in-half, some were predictable and some were genuinely unexpected, but I didn’t feel emotionally attached to the characters so maybe that’s why I never had a jaw-dropper moment while reading. All-in-all a take it or leave it read for me personally.
