4.1 AVERAGE

Not the best in the series, and honestly, I'm feeling very let down latley by WotO. I'm going to give Savannah's book a shot, but if it bores me as much as the last couple, that's it for me. There are too many other fantastic series to waste my time on one I don't like.

Seven reasons to read Frostbitten:

1) Clay and Elena are at their best in this instalment. That isn't to say they're perfect and all their issues have been resolved, but their relationship is a lot more solid and a lot healthier than it's been in the past.

2) A book that focuses on the Pack is always going to be a winner for me. This one added to the enjoyment by introducing new werewolves and showing the Pack's expansion, growing outwards and becoming stronger.

3) The setting is nice and interesting. Kelley Armstrong brings it to life masterfully.

4) I loved the little peeks the story gives of Elena and Clay's twins.

5) Elena has grown up a lot since the first book. She's not taking stupid risks anymore, which doesn't mean she's any less bold, but she's smarter about it. That character development happened over a long period of time. It's believable and makes me love Elena all the more.

6) The story does a great job of combining the main plot with various subplots, creating something that is unified and makes sense.

7) The very last scene made me feel warm inside.

Two drawbacks to Frostbitten:

1) The story claims that the villains are smart and dangerous but doesn't give much proof. They ended up feeling like more of a nuisance than a real threat.

2) The conflict's resolution is too clean. The protagonists have little need for strategy or skill because the obstacles they face aren't all that difficult to surpass.

I always love when Elena and Clay are the main characters in the novel... their story is beyond epic. The series started out with their story, and adding more always makes me happier. Elena is so strong, smart, stubborn... it's nice to see a more vulnerable side to her.. and allowing Clay in. I love Clay, he is beyond bad-ass .. his southern accent.. YUMMY !!! Their bantering, their steaminess, everything about them is just so interesting to read about ! I love this series !

I totally love Elena and Clay this books seemed to be a quick one so now that it's done I'm missing them

5 stars. This was so intense my goodness. The second half of this book had me on edge. I loved it. Elena is my favorite character in this series so I’m always happy when we’re back with her and Clay and their little family. This was a lot of Elena and Clay being badasses together which was fun and then took a turn and they get separated and Elena has to fight for her life on her own. It was great and seriously the development and growth for these characters from book one to now is so impressive and well done. I love the way they love each other and how they show each their love for each other. Elena and Clay are my favorite couple in this series hands down. The ending to this book was great and I am excited to see what happens next with Elena taking over as the pack’s Alpha.

My favorite book of the whole series!

Read it all in one day. There's a reason she's one of my favorites. :)

Elena Michaels, the world's only female werewolf and main candidate for Pack leader, is determined to help Reese...even if that means chasing him through three cities for days on end. She knows he didn't kill those people in South Carolina, that the mutts he thought could help him assimilate to the werewolf lifestyle in America framed him, because Elena couldn't save a young werewolf from a similar case once before. She is determined not to make the same mistake twice.

When Clay - Elena's werewolf husband notorious for being vicious - comes back, they continue the chase in Anchorage, Alaska. In Anchorage, though, there's much more to worry about than Reese. One thing leads to another, and the couple quickly finds themselves investigating into mutts, murder, and a terrifying werewolf more beast than man. Then there's the personal stakes, too. Can Elena overcome her fears and accept that she will one day be Alpha Wolf, even if the title may greatly alter her relationship with Clay?

Overall, I liked the book. Though I haven't read any of the books before this one, I didn't feel confused, like I was missing too big a piece of the puzzle to understand the plot. Still, I would like the next book I read by Kelley Armstrong to be the first book of the Otherworld series so I can see how the characters have grown.

The writing is clear and direct, which makes the book easier to read; this also enhances the action, though I'm not sure how I felt about all the chases and fights. Don't get me wrong; I love reading action-packed scenes as much as I love writing them. However, at some point, I felt disillusioned with the action.
