This book was AWESOME!!! I love the lesson that Jack learns in this book. We have to understand that we can't do everything on our own or for everyone. A great lesson for middle schoolers to learn. Great read.

With his new team and beast pet by his side, Jack is able to continue his survival. Many surprises await for them which include monster warriors, a giant worm and an unexpected occurrence with the zombies. Another great read with the same thrills as the first, but with a few new things. A- (91%/Excellent)

This second entry in the series still has the humor and adventure of the first book. The twists are great for kids to explore things like predictions and character traits/development.

I liked this one better than the last as the character development continues to grow. There were also a few fun twists and it's nice to see the breaking down of the typical hero language into a more healthy approach to trust and teamwork.
