Disclaimer: One of the main topics of the book is trauma, including sexual violence (it's not portrayed very explicitly nor salaciously, it was NOT triggering for me as an SA survivor, but take care of yourselves). Throughout the book, there is a clear emphasis on the concept of consent, which I appreciate. The main characters have not had easy lives, and they have the physical and emotional scars to prove it.
Having said that, I would also highlight that I really liked the book, as you can see from the 5* rating. Do not hesitate to buy it. It was very entertaining and hard to put down, I can barely wait to start the second book. One of my favorites readings from 2022, for sure.
Sidenote: I quite liked the pronounciation guide at the end, I just wished it was at the beginning.
