This volume if full of battles. A lot of explosive fighting. Unlikely things happen. But then some easy solutions arrive. But then problems come up again. It's a cycle really.
Meanwhile Uryu and Renji team up to get Szayelaporro, who seems impossible to kill due to his healing minions (which he eats). Of course it wouldn't be that easy. Urdu pulled a move we hadn't see before (sprenen?) a type of pentagon explode-y thing.
Meanwhile Rukia is off somewhere dying, or dead.
Next volume will be Grimmjow fighting Ichigo, who was on the brink of death just seconds ago.
