3.5 stars. This book is for people who want something wholesome, with little to no angst or internal drama between the love interests, and love interests who are genuinely really good people with minimal flaws. This is usually not my taste, but it didn't come as a surprise because I knew going in what [a:N.R. Walker|5819370|N.R. Walker|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1517693767p2/5819370.jpg]'s books are like. Those types of actions from background characters either felt somewhat convenient or just unrealistic behaviours from humans in this setting. But once again, this will strictly come down to personal preference because I'm certain many people will appreciate this type of indulgence into an idealistic story.
So far I've read [b:Dearest Milton James|58851852|Dearest Milton James|N.R. Walker|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1629872517l/58851852._SX50_.jpg|92703135] and [b:Bossy|57113091|Bossy|N.R. Walker|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1613614335l/57113091._SY75_.jpg|89379747] by them, and those two also followed a pretty wholesome storyline with no angsty internal conflicts between the love interests; any conflict present was external.
Sometimes events in the book felt a bit too ideal and unrealistic, but then again, it's fiction so some people might love the escapist aspect of that.

I'm talking about people clapping and cheering for Vincent and Cobey, their friends coming in to solve their problems or make their relationship take the next step, etc.So, if you want a super sweet low-angst roommates/friends to lovers MM story, then give this a try!

Both Cobey and Vincent are amazing characters and undeniably lovable.
They make sense together and the protectiveness they have for each other, makes you feel fuzzy inside.

Another hit from one of my favorite authors. You can’t go wrong with NR Walker. This wasn’t my favorite of the series, but I loved the nerd/jock trope and loved the double entendre tutoring. The honesty of the characters was refreshing and shows that misunderstandings or pointless drama/breakups aren’t necessary to make a good story
This is my ultimate comfort read. I read it first in Dec 2022 and have read (listened to) it 5 times in total so far. Vincent had my whole heart, he is just pure goodness and deserved all the love. Cobey is the most gentle of giants with a huge heart, he was perfect to and for V ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was cute! The writing style took a while to get used to bc it’s very sparse? I prefer a lusher writing style. But once the two MC’s kissed I was on board lol. Also the ending with the newspaper clipping really got me. They’re just very sweet together.
