How does one rate a memoir? A window into someone else's life? How does one consume someone's joy, their trauma, their ups and down and then proceed to give it a ranking (I ask as I go on to rate this)

This was ... heavy, insightful and unabashedly truthful. I can not effectively tell you how much this book has impacted me. A life of living someone else's dream in the hellish landscape that is the child star industry. No words can communicate this book and the pressures of having an abusive mother.

I'll be thinking about this book for a long time. There's really not too much more to say.

This book was heartbreaking. It was honest. It was real. It is 100% worth reading, for everyone. Either as a way to glimpse a life, glimpse part of someone else's experience, or understand your own.

McCurdy did an incredible job as narrator.

Impressive story showing the downsides of child actors’ lives in the world of Hollywood and what it can do to families. Some parts are very challenging and this story contains an array of topics that need a content warning .
