Very quick read/listen. Eye-opening to the life of being an actor in Hollywood, especially a child actor. If you watched Quiet On Set, you’ll be interested in this. Definitely a bit sad but very well told and informative.

I don't give rating to memoirs, but this was so heartbreaking and eye opening. Jeanette McCurdy narrates this herself and self-narrations are always the best. The things this child had to put up with is so upsetting. I definitely recommend this (specifically as an audiobook).

I really enjoyed this book. As someone who grew up watching Jennette McCurdy on iCarly, it was really interesting to read about her experiences on that show and throughout her career. I loved that she wrote as if the events are happening in real time; when she was writing about her life at age 6, she wrote it as if she is 6 years old.
Reading about her experiences made me realise the trauma and abuse many people, especially young people, in the entertainment industry endure. I really felt for Jennette whilst reading this and I am so proud that she has and continues to recover.

Funny and sharp writing. Heartbreaking and triggering topics. An admirable, straight-forward and unflinching account.
