Wow, just wow. These are the kind of books that you have to pick up to see how lucky you are. Makes you wonder how much of this keeps happening in the industry, and it is scary to think about it.

I, however, wish that she had talked a little bit more about the recovery because the end felt too rushed

Unfortunately,  I simply did not connect with the author Jenette's writing or Henette the character. I appreciated her honesty and her impact on my understanding of eating disorders, but the book made me sad. She clearly as a result if her childhood became very bitter and judgemental both towards herself and everybody else. The amount of times she said "I hate" is astounding to me. But perhaps it is just a consequence of being an unhappy human being for so long. Also, I got lucky that I myself am in a good place while reading it, because I dreaded to pick it up again every time I set the book down. If I wasn't in a happy healthy mindset, I'd be really depressed by now.

Even if do not consider myself as a Jennette McCurdy her story is still fascinating
. It's a perfect example that we do not always know what happens behind someone's house door. And I am glad she has the power to tell her story that many people can relate to in so many aspects. This story not only gives us a look at how sick and horrible Hollywood it is and was but also shows that many people that life looks perfect in first glance its no so perfect. And idolizing people thinking the are walking perfection or they never have a problem and always have a good life is no always reality. I' am glad that Jennette tell her story and shared with us that sometimes the monsters can be the people that we always thought were our heroes.
