Pretty much what I expected. McCurdy is a good writer and is extremely charming and relatable.

Very quick read/listen. Eye-opening to the life of being an actor in Hollywood, especially a child actor. If you watched Quiet On Set, you’ll be interested in this. Definitely a bit sad but very well told and informative.

Too descriptive and gross to the end. In no way did I have to read so often, how she puts her finger so hard in her mouth.

I read so many books about hard topics, also about eating disorder. No book never made me feel that sick, like I want to throw up. And I don't think that should he the goal of a book. I don't understand that no one saw a problem in putting that descriptive things in there.

amazing book. covers her entire life pretty much up until she starts writing the book. it was incredible. VERY easy read vocab- & language-wise, but very difficult read regarding content. HEED THE CONTENT WARNINGS. if any of the CWs trigger you, especially the ones listed “graphic,” DO NOT READ THIS BOOK. otherwise, it’s an incredible read.

lots of humor in suffering w/ a hopeful ending theme of overcoming adversity. amazingly written. i was hooked from the first page. mccurdy is an amazingly talented creative nonfiction writer (& doesn’t hurt that she’s had a life so crazy it seems like it should be fiction).

5⭐️ but i reserve actual 5⭐️ ratings on storygraph for my favorite books of all time

What a great exploration of a relationship. The author has put SO much work in and it shows. Her recalling of events throughout her entire life was really special - she's stayed connected
