amazing book. covers her entire life pretty much up until she starts writing the book. it was incredible. VERY easy read vocab- & language-wise, but very difficult read regarding content. HEED THE CONTENT WARNINGS. if any of the CWs trigger you, especially the ones listed “graphic,” DO NOT READ THIS BOOK. otherwise, it’s an incredible read.

lots of humor in suffering w/ a hopeful ending theme of overcoming adversity. amazingly written. i was hooked from the first page. mccurdy is an amazingly talented creative nonfiction writer (& doesn’t hurt that she’s had a life so crazy it seems like it should be fiction).

5⭐️ but i reserve actual 5⭐️ ratings on storygraph for my favorite books of all time

What a great exploration of a relationship. The author has put SO much work in and it shows. Her recalling of events throughout her entire life was really special - she's stayed connected

Lovely autobiography, definitely interesting. That being said it didn’t offer me anything I have read or heard before. Nothing groundbreaking but a good read nonetheless.

I can’t ever rate anyone’s memoir as less than 5 stars!  This was such a brave narrative of the trauma Jennette McCurdy endured, and even braver were the retellings of the efforts toward healing. I’m glad the pedophiles employed by Nickelodeon have been exposed by Jennette (among others.) Kudos to Jennette-this was a great memoir!
