I really liked this book! I thought it was a perfect demonstration of bodyguard falls in love with the rich girl trope with also second chance and well paced plot.

For me, I really enjoyed the build up in the beginning between Alden and Jess. I thought they had amazing chemistry and you could really feel it from the first few chapters. It was dual pov which was definitely the right choice for this story especially when it’s get more chaotic in the last third. I thought the plot was easy to follow yet predictable, but it didn’t take away from the romance. Jess was a super stubborn, quick-witted, and sensual main character which balanced extremely well with Alden’s rough and protective exterior. It was a mix of sweet romance with some drama and a good amount of spice.

My only issue was it’s repetitiveness in its dialogue. I can tell I will thoroughly enjoy more of this author’s books!

Enjoyable as always. I enjoyed that this one picks up close to where the last one left off with Jes and Alden.

Though their miscomunication drove me insane... it is one of my less liked tropes because thye just need to talk! As we tell our little kids: USE YOUR WORDS.

Anywho, now that I have that out, I loved that Jes messed with Alden and I love their relationship, once they used their words. It took me a little bit but I did have an inkling to why they broke up and I was correct.

I had to admit to liking Jareth more towards the end, which surprised me. Her parents are the worst and they don't get any better.

3 🌶

CW: kidnapping, stalking, sexual content, controlling parents

Fat rep: the FMC is plus sized this is very body neutral and fat positive!

This is a romance suspense book and it was a lot of fun. Nothing like a bit of stalking to get the romance going. She is an influencer from an affluent family however her parents are controlling and trying to arrange a marriage. She doesn’t want that and due to some stalking she hires a bodyguard. The bodyguard and her have history together so this is a 2nd chance
Romance

What I loved:
The fat rep being so positive and body neutral
I loved that the FMC is very strong and doesn’t change
Seeing Alden admit his feelings amazing
No 3rd act break up

Why it didn’t get 5 ⭐️
- at times the suspense seemed too convenient

I will definitely be reading more from this author!!
