OH MY GOSH 5/5
This was so enjoyable to read, I'm still on a high from it. Characters great, setting even better. Did not realise it was part of a trilogy before I started. Easy to read but so exciting. 10/10 all the stars

Avery is essentially a 17 year old orphan (dead mother, dead beat absentee father) who lives with her older half-sister and is just trying to do her best to get out of dodge and start her life. Then she suddenly gets asked to go read the will of some super rich dude - Tobias Hawthorne, who she has never met. She goes and ends up being his main heir and inherits BILLIONS of dollars - but not knowing the guy and him having four nephews, two children and plenty of others who would have been more obvious choices for inheriting the money - everyone is a little confused. You then get swept up into a series of games and riddles as the four brothers and Avery attempt to unravel the mysteries Tobias Hawthorne left behind.
Somebody told me if I liked the hunger games, I’d like this book. This book is nothing like the hunger games so I’m a little confused or maybe I just remembered this recommendation wrong haha. Nevertheless, this was a good book, I LOVVEEDD the short chapters - it was a quick fast paced read and I will continue to read the series. I would describe it as a fun YA mystery with a side of romance.

A great page turner. One of the best books I have read ever. It has so many twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting and I couldn’t actually put the book down at the end. Can’t wait to read the second book.
