Loved it, loved it! Another great book in this series! I always have fun reading these books! The plot is interesting and the characters are all fun to read about.

Always fun. Keep writing Eric Carter books and I’ll keep reading them!

It's been a while since I last read a book in this series, so I wasn't sure if I'd have a hard time getting back into it. I needn't have worried, though, since this book is action-packed and fast-paced all the way through. Seeing Eric have to deal with all the gods, fire-starting crazies, and even some mage politics made for some good reading. It's dark, it's violent, it's got some grim humor. Not to mention that Eric can be a jerk sometimes. He admits it, though. If you're up for books like that, check out this series.

I don’t believe in guilty pleasures, but if I did, this series would be one of them. It’s the reading equivalent of binge-watching a whole season of a show on The CW over a long weekend. Pulpy, a little dopey, and packed with so many genre-cliches and angst that you could fuel an undergraduate creative writing class for a good couple of years. I have plenty other metaphors I could use, but I’ll save those for the rest of the series, because this was the best one yet and I’m all in for whatever batshit nonsense is next.

Fire Season was my favorite Eric Carter story yet. I seriously can't get enough of this grimy, colorful, fantastic world and this snarky, car-jacking, reckless asshole. High stakes, some glorious new sojourns into Eric's past and hidden corners of L.A., and a supporting cast of magical badass women — what's not to love? At some point, I might want to see Eric go on a nice vacation instead of getting beat to shit and snorting blow off his dash to stay awake, but this story pulled a bunch of threads together in a way that was satisfying on its own and still got me hyped for the next book.

Yeah, another really great book in this series! Some of Eric's past mistakes come back to haunt him, and yeah, there's a lot of fire. Besides the high death toll and all the destruction by fire, I really enjoyed the ending!
