Not a book to read if a person is in a depressed mood (given the attempted suicide early on in the book and what begins the central plot of the story). However, ultimately, it is about finding the meaning in YOUR life and what makes it special. Very philosophical, but that’s part of the charm and what made it memorable to me.

It’s a bit of a downer but definitely makes you think differently about everything you’ve felt like you’ve done wrong in your life. seeing how your life decisions impacted the lives around you, and if you could change something in your life… what happens to the people you DIDNT affect in the new life?
I listened to the audio, I enjoyed the narrator, I definitely sped it up to 1.4 though.

There were parts that were slow. But there were parts that I really enjoyed. It has sorrow, but it also has hope. Other mes in other moments might have felt differently, but I think this was a good book for the me I am right now.

A fun read!

The plot was quite predictable but I don't think that necessarily took away from the reading experience. I generally quite like the concept of alternate universes, and this was an enjoyable addition to that. I also think the author covered the topic of depression and its effects quite well.
